Pioneer Days - Paso Robles, California
Gather at 17th and Spring Street for the start of the Pioneer Day Parade, which will continue around Paso Robles City Park. The floats will be flying high, with fire engines and other attractions to amuse the little ones. At noon, the parade will finish in the park and the Free Bean Feed begins. Once you get your fill, you can head to Carnegie Library to continue this glimpse into the city's cultural heritage. At 1 pm, show off your skills at the Horseshoe Pitching Contest before the Band Concert begins playing at 2 p.m.
It's a fun day filled with wide-ranging free events. Now in its 83rd year, Pioneer Day has been observed in this city since 1931. You'll have the unique opportunity to see the Old Gas Engine Show next to Pioneer Museum. Much to the kids' entertainment, the Wagon, Tractor & Steam Engine Display brings favorite toys and bedtime stories to whimsical life in impressive exhibition.
Funded completely by the local business community and dedicated citizens, this free event shows spectators what it means to be part of a close-knit community. If you are visiting the area from out of town, you have stumbled onto one of this town's most celebrated, time-honored traditions. Our hotel is conveniently located near all the festivities, so you will have all this free fun at your fingertips while you're here.
The day will deliver plenty of fascinating sights and scenes, including horse drawn wagons, marching bands, mounted equestrian groups, youth groups, floats, vintage cars, fire engines, military vehicles, and more.
