Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa & Mission San Miguel
The 5th mission in California, Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa opened its doors in 1772. Named after Saint Louis of Anjou, the Mission is unique in that it's the only L-shaped mission church among the 21 California missions. Founded in 1797, Mission San Miguel, which is the 16th mission, has never been repainted and is in pristine condition. The Mission has been designated a National Historic Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A wide array of events, such as baptisms, weddings, Quinceañeras, communions and confirmations are handled year-round by both missions.Details
