Paso Robles Event Center - Home of the Mid-State Fair

Directly across the street from the Holiday Inn Express & Suites, the Paso Robles Event Center presents year-round events, shows, conventions, exhibitions and sports, including the Central Coast Roller Derby, Mid-State Fall Home Show and the granddaddy event: the California Mid-State Fair. For 12 days in July/August, the Fair offers a concert series featuring top-name entertainers, rides, shows, exhibits and great food. During the year, the center hosts cattle and horse shows, equestrian and livestock events and fun family entertainment. Check the calendar to plan your stay around one of its next events.

What's the Mid-State Fair like?

It's a classic state fair with tons of exhibits, food and beer competitions, and unique crafts showcased throughout the fairgrounds. Kids are drawn to the many animals on display, and they'll definitely be interested to see the outcome of the animal competitions sponsored by the Paso Robles 4-H club.

Are the fairgrounds family-friendly?

The fairgrounds are very family-friendly, with plenty of games and entertainment to keep the kids occupied. However, there is beer served at many events and dining spots so by the end of the day, there may be some rowdiness. It's probably a good idea to pack up the kids and leave before sundown.
