Bruce Munro's Field of Light at Sensorio: An Immersive Art Installation

Featured in The New York Times as #6 in "50 Places to Visit," Light at Sensorio now features four installations by internationally acclaimed artist Bruce Munro. Field of Light is a multi-acre walk-through experience, Munro's largest artwork in the world, recently expanded to more than 100,000 stemmed spheres lit by fiber optics, gently illuminating the landscape in subtle blooms of morphing color that describe the undulating landscape. The adjacent Light Towers celebrates Paso Robles' extensive wine country environs, featuring 69 towers composed of more than 17,000 wine bottles, illuminated with glowing optic fibers whose colors morph to an inspiring musical score. The two newest exhibits by Munro, Gone Fishing and Fireflies, were unveiled on May 19, 2023, and can be found in a small valley adjacent to Light Towers, adding another half-acre to the exhibit. Powered by solar, these stunning exhibits captivate visitors, inviting them to engage with the landscape and environment through an ethereal light based and sculptural experience. Smithsonian Magazine has called Munro's art "stunning," while The Guardian noted "This is art you feel, rather than art you view."
Opening soon is DIMENSIONS, a new exhibit by Los Angeles based artists HYBYCOZO. The installation will be an immersive experience that transports visitors into the uncharted dimensions of light, sound, movement and shadow.

Where can I buy the tickets from?

As Sensorio's preferred partners our guests can enjoy $5 off General Admission Tickets. Visitors of Field of Light at Sensorio can buy tickets at the main box office or online at https://tickets.sensoriopaso.com/calendar/main. Pick your date and time for pricing, and the tickets will be sent via email. Onsite ticket sales stop 45 minutes prior to closing.

Are there any seasonal passes?

Sensorio does offer a Season Pass to residents of San Luis Obispo County for unlimited admissions to Bruce Munro's Field of Light now through January 5, 2020. Passes are just $99 and will only be sold during event hours at the Sensorio Box Office with a valid Photo ID for proof of residency.
